I love to teach my children about character qualities and virtues. I think laying a solid foundation regarding these types of things can help them both now and later in life.

I recently wrote a short story called Little Skunk and the Big Hill. It encourages readers to value honesty.

A little about the story…

Little Skunk thinks it would be great fun to climb to the top of the big hill, but is scared to ask his mama. When he decides to lie and go without asking, it’s not as fun as he thought it would be. Will Little Skunk learn the importance of honesty as he finds his way back home?
