Hey friends, and welcome!
It has been a good month. Other than my computer being abnormally slow. I really hope that I will not need to replace it soon, but if I do, it won’t be the end of the world.
I have been contemplating life so much recently. I think this is a part of middle age that I didn’t expect. I’ve been evaluating a lot of things in my life, and deciding if any changes need to be made.
I’ve been studying a lot about spirituality and philosophy. So many books are coming in the mail. I honestly wish there was a way to get all of the information in my head without reading, haha. Unfortunately, that just won’t work. I actually need to take the time to read!
I’ve determined that I am on the right track in a lot of ways. I am committing to learn more about the pitfalls of consumerism, and I plan to recommit to a simpler way of spending money. I realize that I am more likely to spend money when anxious, and I am learning a lot about inner peace which is helping a lot with that. I truly believe that all I need to be happy is inside of me. Life can be exciting no matter how much money you spend.
Not that I went off the deep end with my spending habits…not in the least. But I can tell I am not as mindful as I once was.
Cultivating a quiet life has been very important to me this month. I’ve worked on being mindful as I go about my day, and at times tears of gratitude have come to my eyes when I think about how beautiful life is. I’ve started a new blog called This Sacred Life this month, too. I’ve loved writing there!
I’m also trying to learn more about female hormones and what to expect in my mid-forties. Let me tell you, I do not feel anything like I did in earlier decades. I fully accept anything that is coming (or has come) my way, but adjusting to it is kind of tough. There are several days each month where I am pretty much out of commission.
Above all, I want to step into this season with grace, wisdom, and joy! It is a joyous thing to be alive!
Another exciting thing that happened this month is that I started planning to create a bird “sanctuary” on our property. I joined a local Audubon society, and purchased a book about reaching my goal. We already have a lot of birds who visit here, and I’m excited to make our land more welcoming for them.
Next up is planning a Spring Equinox celebration. Our winter decor has come down, and I am so very excited for spring.
It has definitely been a blessed month!
I hope your February has been wonderful, too. Thank you so much for stopping by today!
