A Week of Crafting | April 25, 2024

It has been a wonderful week. A few days ago we got under contract on a creek-front piece of land, which has made me so happy. Also, today is my oldest child’s 24th birthday. How exciting! She is an amazing human being, and it’s hard to believe that I’ve been a mom for 24 years!

I’ve made several hair bow and head band sets this week, too. I love working on orders from my Etsy shop. It is so much fun to go fabric shopping, and I try to pick out soft, cotton prints that everyone will enjoy.

When it’s time to work on an order, I set my sewing machine up on the dining room table. Perhaps one day I will have a dedicated space for crafting…but for now, the table does just fine!

This past week, my shop’s Blue Toile and Pooh hair bows and headbands have been top sellers. I think everyone really enjoys these prints. They are so dainty and sweet!

There are a couple of little girls in my life who love this cat fabric! In fact, it first made its way into my shop because I made my daughter a bow with it, and I snapped a picture of it for my shop. Super fun for spring and summer!

Finally, I made this set of three hair bows for a customer. I really love all of these prints!

Here they are packed up and ready to go.

Later today, I plan to make two more Blue Toile hair bows for an order I received this morning. This is such a fun hobby that I can fit into little pockets of my day.

If you have an enjoyable hobby, I hope you find time for it today, too!
