Ah, we’ve reached the weekend. It feels so beautiful and lovely, and I can’t wait to see what it has in store for us. I just know it’s going to be good!
While I wasn’t planning to type a post for the blog today, I felt the urge to. Writing is therapeutic to me. I really enjoy typing my thoughts onto a page.
And, it’s Saturday. The perfect day to do what I enjoy and think about what I’m thankful for.
Currently, I smell yummy pizza baking in the oven. My daughter makes the most wonderful pizza, and it’s a tradition for us to eat it for lunch on Saturday.
I was delighted to have sold a copy of The Relaxed Homeschool a few hours ago. I love to encourage other homeschoolers whenever I can.
This morning, I took the time to refill the bird feeders around our property. I’m starting to befriend the birds who live here…in my mind, at least. I love taking care of the critters who live close to our home.
Yesterday, I found a chickadee inside of one of our feeders. It was empty, and it had squeezed through one of the openings. Thankfully, it was in good spirits and it sang a little song once I freed it. Possibly, a thank you?
After filling the feeders, I puttered around, doing some light cleaning. After lunch, I plan to get down to business. I need to clean our bathrooms and windows.
My children have reminded me of yesterday, which was so much fun. Between homeschool lessons, I decided that we should all learn a line dance or two. Once my husband returned home from work, they happily told him all about it and insisted we demonstrate. After dinner, we turned off the lights and pulled out my daughter’s disco ball. We all had a good time.
A new book just came in the mail titled Nature, Man, and Woman by Alan Watts. I’ve already dug into it, and hopefully will be able to squeeze in a few more minutes of reading time before the day is over. I shared a short excerpt from it on my spiritual blog, This Sacred Life.
So many sweet things have happened lately.
I really love to just settle into home life, and not spend a lot of money. To think about the blessings around me, and my place in the world.
We can all make a difference. Something as small as a smile makes a difference!
I hope you have an amazing day, dear reader. Thank you so much for stopping by today. On Monday, free Owl Coloring Pages will be available to you here. If you’re interested, please be sure to check back!
