Good afternoon, friends. I hope you’ve had a wonderful day so far, and many good things are still ahead of you.
My day has been a mix of crafting and homeschooling. Just as I like it. Soup is also in the crock pot and homemade bread is in the oven, which I’m also really looking forward to!
I love being a woman and taking care of my family, along with many other things.
I enjoy contemplating what my femininity means on a regular basis. I know some might not understand this, but I truly want to come into my whole self, and really embody who I am meant to be.
I think women were born to nurture, and to create. I’d like to talk about this for just a minute.
In general, the feminine aspect of people involves a deep, nurturing instinct. I think women naturally want to care for their young, which is very instinctual.
We also tend to be creative, in general. Now, when I say “creative,” I’m by no means putting creativity into any sort of box. Creativity isn’t just for the artsy-craftsy types. We create when we speak, when we write, when we cook and when we bake. We create when we work on a project, either for pay or as a hobby.
We also create when children grow in our wombs, but one doesn’t need to experience this type of creation in order to walk fully in creative femininity.

I think sometimes women suppress their natural creativity, without even meaning to. It’s no surprise when we live in a culture (in the United States, at least) where the prominent religion ascribes the powers of creation to a male god figure. I really do think that this is just another way that women have been oppressed through the ages. If women do not have the strongest creative capabilities literally sitting inside of them, then I don’t know who does.
A woman’s body can take a tiny embryo and turn it into a human being. It’s pretty impressive.
I think this creative potential flows through all women, whether their womb has been occupied by a baby or not.
The type of creativity we hold is a sacred type, and I’d call it god-like, even.
I think that if we explore this aspect of ourselves, and allow the creativity to actively flow through ourselves, amazing things will begin to happen.
We will begin to create what we never thought possible. A life rooted in our feminine selves, without worry about what others might think about us.
This is what holds us back so often, isn’t it? Other people’s opinions can “create” havoc on our lives if we let them.
I think this is even more true for women. We all have creative energies that can be used for good, or bad. I know that in general for me, women’s words cut deeper than men’s words do. Goodness, this past year many women have said things to me that have cut very deep. I think this is simply an overflow of their creative energies. I try my best to remember this whenever I’ve experienced a hurt.
We can bring life or death into a space depending on what we decide to create. We are powerful.
With this power comes responsibility. Let’s do our best to create goodness wherever we go.
