Happy Sunday, friends! I’m excited about today. Easter baskets are set out for my children, and we plan to have an egg hunt soon. Oh, and we possibly will color eggs. It should be a very fun Easter.
I came home last night with the surprise of a few new books to study in the mail, along with fabric. I’ve been surrounded with so.much.fabric. lately. About one week ago I toured a new vintage/gift mall that will be opening soon, and decided to rent out a second location for my bows and books. I went into the meeting with an open heart, knowing the criteria that I hoped to find in order to secure a booth. Well, I am renting a spot with over twice the space for less than the price of my first location in a high traffic area near Chattanooga. Everything fell into place perfectly.

(Before and after of my space so far. Next up…flooring!)
And now I’m as busy as a bee, trying my best to create enough products to fill the space up when Sweet Maple officially opens on May 3rd.
I love being creative. In fact, I think humans thrive when they create something out of nothing. Whether it be a painting, a poem, a written work. Or a house, a chair, or even a hair bow. There is something joyous about following your creative process and making something new spring from your hands, heart, and mind.
So I definitely have been a little MIA lately while I work on this other project. Even now I’m like…what am I doing writing on my blog? I have products to make!
But typing these keys fills my heart, too. And I’m all about finding joy throughout the day, and carving out time for what you love most.
In May, I hope to dive back into gardening, and also writing. I just finished up a big writing project, and am slowly typing away at a new book in little spare pieces of time.
But for this week at least, I will be making all the things. Along with hair bows and scrunchies, I’m making dresses and bow key chains. It’s been lots of fun.
I hope you have an amazing week, friends!
