Becoming a Wise Woman No. 2

,

Hello friends, and welcome.

It is another beautiful June day, and before my home gets hopping I wanted to share some of my most recent notes from Women’s Wisdom: The Garden of Peace for Women (affiliate link) with you. If you missed the first installment, you can find it here.

I love searching for little nuggets of truth in books like this one for encouragement. This book is full of them.

I usually read from several different books, and then pull out my notebook when it’s time to read this one. Taking notes definitely helps my mind retain information.

These are a few points that stood out to me in my recent reading:

  • God doesn’t dwell where there is no unity in marriage.
  • A married woman should therefore make marital peace her first priority.
  • Building a peaceful home is the most significant deed in a married woman’s lifetime. If her home is without peace, she should pray without ceasing for peace to increase.
  • A wise married woman understands that her main service to God usually happens inside of her home.
  • A woman’s home is often her true test in life.
  • The main purpose in life is to live according to God’s will.
  • Since most of a woman’s tribulations involve her husband and children, she should make an effort to strengthen her faith in this area, and to see God before her always.
  • In general, women possess greater spirituality and faith than men.
  • Trials and tribulations perfect character and offer spiritual gain.
  • A basic rule of marital peace is that both husbands and wives understand their responsibilities. One should concentrate on their own responsibilities without judging the other.
  • Our main concern should be to build a home for God, which is a true dwelling place for Divine presence.
  • Both husband and wife must shoulder complete responsibility for peace in the home and for the marriage to truly succeed.
  • A woman shouldn’t lose heart if her husband is weak in certain areas.
  • A woman’s role is that of a home supervisor. It is good to act and pray for solutions to problems.
  • When her husband has problems, she should pray to God on his behalf while pleasantly encouraging him to fulfill his responsibilities.
  • A woman is in the best position to recognize problems in her home and pray for their rectification. God has given her the gift of special womanly wisdom.
  • Through history, there have been many godly women whose devotion to building their homes helped their husbands and children grow closer to God.
  • A righteous woman advances the correction of the entire world.

I hope you were encouraged by these notes like I was. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
