Welcome March

Hello friends, and welcome to my blog. I hope you are having an amazing week so far.

I’m just tickled to death that it’s March. Guys, spring is right around the corner! Goodness, I can hardly wait.

A few things I’ve been up to…

A couple of days ago, I started seeds in our basement. So far, I’ve filled three trays with seed. The rudbeckia seeds I planted are already popping their heads out of the soil. They grow beautifully in our yard, and I love adding more to our property each year.

Now, I just have to remember to turn on my grow lights each day! Last year, I resorted to setting a timer on my phone, and that’s what I think I’ll need to do this year as well. (I might have forgotten about them until dinner time today…whoops.)

March is a great time to read a book! I just finished The Fur Traders Lady by Gabrielle Meyer. And friends, I could not put it down! One morning, I woke up at 5 am just to finish it, and now I’m going through withdrawals. I can’t wait until she releases the next book in this series. I’ve also spent about two hours writing each day before most of my children begin stirring. I’m almost finished writing Her Surprise Amish Match, which is very exciting. I should finish the first draft by Thursday, and then onto editing.

On Saturday the new craft market I’m a part of will officially open. I can hardly wait for the grand opening, since I probably will do a little shopping with my family. I am very pleased with how my booth turned out.

(Here is a little sneak peek of my booth. It probably will change a little as time moves on, but this is it for now.)

So while there are many special things happening right now, I’m mainly trying to enjoy the last of winter before the beautiful spring arrives. There is so much to be grateful for each day, and I’ve found that when I’m feeling down all I need to do is to step outside to lift my spirits. Even during winter, nature is so refreshing. Though sometimes life seems to move much more quickly than I’d like it to, I hope to relish each moment as it unfolds, and to savor the blessings that come with living slowly and purposefully. I love to simply take care of my family and property, while fitting in little moments of self-care along the way, too. I hope this month is full of opportunities to do just that.

May your March be blessed!
