Happy Mother’s Day, friends. I hope your day has been full of happiness!
Today has been very nice. My children and husband have been the sweetest, and have spoiled me. First, my husband went to my booth in town to straighten it and add new clothing rods to the side. He then brought lunch home for the family, and proceeded to plant lots of new plants in the yard for me. He is a blessing, indeed.

(My husband sent this picture to me to make sure everything was just so at my booth before he left. He’s a keeper!)
Being a mother has brought lots of meaning to my life. I’ve grown as a mother throughout the years, but definitely am not perfect. I still make mistakes almost daily, and don’t always do or say the right things.
Goodness, I wish I was the perfect mother! My children definitely deserve one! But alas, I am a human and definitely make mistakes.

(I was able to spend the day with most of my children, and even got a picture!)
The good thing about mistakes is that we can learn from them. When I encounter a problem, I always try to learn from it. The same holds true for motherhood.
I’m definitely a different mother than I was years ago. I’ve learned a lot through the decades, and I still have more to learn.
One of my biggest lessons has been to always apologize if I’ve done something wrong. Our children need to hear our apologies! Second to that, I would recommend parenting from a place of calm. I haven’t always done that, and the results were not good. But when we center ourselves before we speak to our children, then we are much more likely to do the right thing, and to parent our children well.
These are just a few things I’ve thought about today.
I’m really looking forward to this next week with my family. In a few days, we plan to head to the beach, which will be so much fun. We always make good memories on the South Carolina coastline, and I can’t wait to see what we get into. But first, my girls will have their gymnastics showcase on Tuesday.
So many fun things!
I hope you have an amazing week ahead of you, too. If you’re a mother, I hope you day was very special…and if you’re not a mother, I hope your day was just as wonderful, too.
