Happy Friday, friends! Ah, we’ve made it to the end of the week. I hope it’s been a very good one for you. I thought I’d share a little bit about what I’ve been up to today.
I’m thoroughly enjoying the long dark nights, along with the crisp, bright days of winter that we’ve been experiencing in the Southern Appalachians. Yesterday, I spotted hundreds of Sandhill Cranes migrating south over our home. It was spectacular! The moon was still visible close to noon, and the image of so many cranes flying across the moon will be forever etched in my mind, I think.
It was a sight to see, to be sure.
I’m kind of a spirituality nerd, and I’ve been reading the book Christianity as Mystical Fact and the Mysteries of Antiquity by Rudolf Steiner in my spare moments. Oh my word, I’ve enjoyed it so much! I’m about 75% of the way through, and am about to dig in to chapter eight, which is titled The Apocalyse of John. Maybe I’ll get to it today. I sure hope so!
I’ve spent lots of time building a website for my bow business this week. After spending the last year with Bluehost, I bit the bullet and moved to Shopify this year. Friends, I’m so excited about this! Though the web hosting cost is higher, I love the functionality of the website since I haven’t the slightest clue how to code.

I’d love for you to check it out! I’m passionate about creating products that are eco-friendly and leave a smaller footprint than those which are mass produced.
My husband has been adding trim to one of our rooms, and it looks so good. I’ve spent much of the past month purging, which is very hard for me. To me, each item I own represents a memory. Crazy, I know. But I think I’ve made some good progress, though my work is nowhere near done.
Overall, we’ve been enjoying the cold weather by staying nice and warm indoors. My children and I have been painting with watercolors both yesterday and today, which has been very nice.
Life is good.
I hope you enjoy the weekend, and it is full of things that bring you happiness and joy!
